Since the birth of the Commission, Italy has had a <strong>leading role in marine research<\/strong>, distinguished by cutting-edge technology, scientific infrastructure and oceanographic missions that made Italy an international beacon in this field. Today, <strong>with 23 Member States<\/strong>, CIESM continues to collect and <strong>sharing valuable scientific data<\/strong>from rising deep-sea temperatures, to the arrival of alien species, to the growing risks of climate change. Italy's return to lead the CIESM <strong>marks the resumption of a long tradition of international scientific collaboration<\/strong>, beyond geopolitical borders. The Commission <strong>expresses its deep gratitude<\/strong> to the Honourable <strong>Antonio Tajani<\/strong>, Vice-President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic, to the Hon. <strong>Anna Maria Bernini<\/strong>, Minister of University and Research of the Italian Republic, and to His Excellency <strong>Manuela Ruosi<\/strong>, Italian Ambassador to the Principality of Monaco, for the valuable commitment that made this result possible.<\/p>\n<h3>Communiqu\u00e9 de presse<\/h3>\n<p>L'Italie, pays fondateur en 1910 de la <strong>Commission Internationale pour l'Exploration Scientifique de la M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e et de la Mer Noire<\/strong> (CIESM), reprend aujourd'hui \u00e0 parti enti\u00e8re son si\u00e8ge au sein de son Conseil Ex\u00e9cutif. D\u00e8s la cr\u00e9ation de la Commission, <strong>l'Italie a jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le de premier plan dans la recherche marine<\/strong>, se distinguant par des technologies de pointe, des infrastructures scientifiques et des missions oc\u00e9anographiques qui firent de ce pays un v\u00e9ritable phare international dans ce domaine.
