The decision was taken unanimously by the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee, meeting in New Delhi, recognising ours as the *first cuisine in the world to be recognised in its entirety<\/b>*.<\/p>\n
According to UNESCO, Italian cuisine is much more than a collection of recipes: it is a \u201ccultural and social blend of culinary traditions\u201d, a \u201cway of caring for oneself and others, expressing love and rediscovering one's cultural roots\u201d.
