{"id":1979,"date":"2026-08-17T07:28:18","date_gmt":"2026-08-17T07:28:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/montecarlostyle.net\/?p=1979"},"modified":"2026-08-17T07:28:48","modified_gmt":"2026-08-17T07:28:48","slug":"at-the-rimini-meeting-pippo-russos-new-book","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/montecarlostyle.net\/en\/al-meeting-di-rimini-il-nuovo-libro-di-pippo-russo\/","title":{"rendered":"The new book by Pippo Russo at the Rimini Meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Next 25 August at 14:30<\/strong> , during the <strong>round table by Acli Terra at the 47th edition of the Meeting for Friendship among Peoples Pippo Russo<\/strong> will present his new book to the public for the first time.<br \/>\nThe text, co-written with the social researcher Marcello Cabria, has a title that raises highly topical issues: \u201c<strong>Regenerating the Earth \u2013 the challenge of generational handover in agriculture.<\/strong><br \/>\nThe book's contents will be the subject of discussion on that day, which will feature guests of international calibre: from economist Attilio Celant to Crea manager Paolo Gramiccia, or to mention just a few, university professor Ettore Varricchio, Car administrator Massimo De Simoni, and urban planner and former parliamentarian Francesco Prina.<br \/>\nRusso, Sicilian by birth, but Florentine since his university days, is today a journalist and sociologist, and a researcher at the University of Florence.<br \/>\nHe thus explained his choice to write such a text:<br \/>\n\u201cThe issue of generational turnover is a crucial theme for the sustainability of agricultural systems, along with everything connected to it: food security, biodiversity, protection against hydrogeological instability, landscape preservation, combating the depopulation of inland areas, and the maintenance of community ties. The great prevalence of the individual-family farm model, which has survived the industrialisation of agriculture, has long been a strength. However, it is now becoming an element of fragility during a transition marked by negative demographic indicators and an uninterrupted migration towards cities.
