Genoa, the Made in Italy of the sea at the centre of the 65th International Boat Show

It kicked off in Genoa the 65th International Boat Show which put “Development, work and innovation for the country's growth” at the centre of the inaugural conference with government and institutional representatives. The event brings back the Italian yachting industry and its industrial chain at the centre of the world stage and institutional debate, confirming its position as one of the three most important global events. This year there are more than 1,000 boats on display, from 45 countries. There are 400 exhibitors from the tech and trade sectors. The Italian boating industry in 2024 experienced a growth in turnover of 3.2% to EUR 8.6 billion. Driving the growth were large yachts, while small boats experienced a decline. (ANSA).
A delegation from our newspaper had the opportunity to visit the event.
Our Administrative Manager speaks Emanuele Del Duca who expressed the focus on environmental and economic sustainability as the hallmark. He went on to emphasise that every “sailor” can truly find his or her boat here in terms of size, performance and price.
An event that qualifies Genoa and Liguria. He also focused on the issues of logistics and transport, which are crucial for the success of any large event.
