The club's official statement ends the relationship with Sir Claudio. And now the Neapolitan hypothesis is gaining momentum.
Claudio Ranieri and Roma part ways once more. In an official statement, the Giallorossi club announced the end of their relationship with their senior advisor, effectively marking yet another farewell from one of the most iconic figures in recent Roma history.
“The relationship with Claudio Ranieri has ended,” reads the club's statement, which wished to thank the coach for his contribution during a delicate phase, while at the same time reiterating its confidence in the technical project led by Gian Piero Gasperini.ANSA.it).
A separation reached after weeks of internal tension, which definitively closes the third chapter of Ranieri's adventure in his Rome, first on the bench and then behind the desk.
But the future might already be written. According to reliable sources close to the federal environment, Ranieri would indeed be the main candidate to become the new coach of the Italian national team. The now former Giallorosso would be ready to sign after the federal elections for the FIGC presidency renewal, scheduled for 22 June 2026.
A scenario that would represent a sensational return to contention, after last year's rejection when he chose to remain loyal to the Roma project.
Now, however, their paths have diverged. And for Sir Claudio, the last great challenge could be opening up: coaching Italy.
