The event
The Prince Albert II of Monaco, president of the Croix Rouge Monegasque, attended as guest of honour the ceremony for the fortieth anniversary of the civil protection of Dolceacqua, a small town in the Nervia valley, twinned with the municipality of Monte Carlo. The celebrations took place in the Cristallo Cinema, at the entrance to the ancient medieval village of the Doria family. The ceremony was preceded by the performance of the two national anthems: the Monegasque and the Italian.
Awards
This was followed by the presentation of awards not only to the founding members, but also to those who have left a mark in the world of volunteering with their gestures, as well as to the associations that have collaborated with the civil protection organisation over the years. Present were the highest civil authorities, starting with the Mayor of Dolceacqua, Fulvio Gazzola, who did the honours, the Prefect of Imperia, Antonio Giaccari, the Mayor of Monte Carlo Georges Marsan, the Honorary President of the Acli of Monaco Niccolò Caissotti di Chiusano, and a representation of our newspaper.
