Agribusiness and Logistics: Small Business Development Conference in Genoa

*Today, 4 March, on board the Barca Aragostiera at the Porto Antico, experts and institutions will discuss the new growth levers for the territory. The event will be broadcast live on social media by Acli Terra*.

The meeting entitled “*Logistics for the development of small agri-food enterprises*” will be held today, Wednesday 4 March at 3.30 p.m., in the picturesque setting of Genoa's Old Port, on board the Barca Aragostiera.
The event, promoted by *Acli Terra*, was created with the aim of deepening the strategic link between production chains, territory and logistics, identifying the latter not only as a transport service, but as a real lever of competitive growth for small and medium-sized companies in the Ligurian and national agrifood sector.
The work programme will open with institutional greetings by *Giulia Bagnasco*, Provincial President of Acli Terra di Genova. This will be followed by technical contributions from *Alessandra Luti*, a management engineer, and *Serena Urbano*, a data protection expert and Asso Dpo territorial contact person, who will analyse process efficiency and information security in supply chains. Of particular note will be the speech by *Massimo De Simoni*, a board member of the Centro Agroalimentare Romano, who will bring his experience in the management of large distribution hubs.
The centrepiece of the discussion will be the reports by sociologist *Pippo Russo* and of *David Falteri*, President of Federlogistica, who will analyse the future challenges of freight handling with a view to sustainability and local development. The meeting will be moderated by *Davide Lottero*, Acli Genova provincial president.
“Looking at the speakers involved, from cybersecurity to sociology to law, tomorrow's challenge will be to demonstrate how such diverse skills can converge to concretely support those who run small, often family-run agribusinesses,” he says *.Davide Lottero, ACLI Provincial President Genoa*.
“As soon as I imagined this event, I involved my friend Davide Falteri, President of Federlogistica, convinced that the subject was bread for his teeth. I can't wait for the discussion to begin to find out how these different visions can translate into real benefits for our producers. Organising this appointment right here, on the former Aragostiera in the heart of the Porto Antico, is a strong signal: for Acli Terra Genova this meeting represents the beginning of a path that aims to unite the agricultural traditions of the hinterland with the excellence of our fishing and fishing sector.”
“Logistics is not only an infrastructural asset, but a decisive element in the quality and final price of agri-food products,” says *.Nicola Tavoletta, National President of Acli Terra*.
“Our commitment must be to constantly develop and optimise every process in the supply chain. In Italy we still suffer significant delays on the investment front, particularly with regard to the railway network and international connections. This deficiency hits the southern provinces especially hard, isolating them from foreign markets. It is crucial to invest now to ensure the competitiveness of our excellences and allow even small realities to grow and export efficiently.”
At the end of the proceedings, participants will be able to continue the discussion during an *Agriaperitivo on a boat*”, an opportunity to taste local products in an informal setting. For those who will not be able to be physically present, the entire event will be broadcast in *live streaming* on all Acli Terra social channels.
