Grace Kelly's beauty routine: simplicity, elegance, and true princess discipline.

Its beauty has spanned the decades without losing its appeal. Behind the timeless elegance lay a beauty routine rigorous, based on care, discretion and constancy. No excess, only natural refinement.

  1. Its beauty has spanned the decades without losing its appeal. Behind the timeless elegance lay a beauty routine rigorous, based on care, discretion and constancy. No excess, only natural refinement.

    1. Cleansing and moisturising at the base of everything. Grace liked to gently cleanse the skin of her face both morning and evening. She used neutral products, often chamomile or rose-based, so as not to irritate her pearly skin. Immediately afterwards, she applied light but nourishing moisturising creams suitable for her fair and sensitive skin.

    2. Sun protection was his secret anti-ageing. Long before it became fashionable, Grace Kelly used protective creams on a daily basis. She was aware that the sun was the skin's first enemy and protected her face and décolleté with wide-brimmed hats and sunscreen products with a high sun filter.
    1. The make-up? Almost invisible

Her signature? On the eyes she never dared more than that, the same cannot be said for the mouth, sometimes lit up in red, but more often in coral: her favourite lipstick was the Portofino Coral by Estée Lauder, one of the most fashionable brands of the time (the founder, by the way, was a great friend of hers). To complete the make-up, defined lashes and a veil of powder and never heavy make-up: Grace preferred to enhance her natural beauty with a make-up sober. When doing make-up in films, he would ask the make-up artists not to go overboard with foundation or counturing.

    1. Groomed but natural eyebrows. He loved well defined but soft and harmonious eyebrows, never too thin. He considered them a fundamental feature for the elegance of the face.

    2.  Perfume as a personal signature. Grace Kelly wore “Fleurissimo” by Creed, a perfume created especially for her wedding to Prince Rainier. A fragrance that later became iconic, based on bergamot, tuberose, Bulgarian rose, violet, Florentine iris and ambergris. Grace was also a fan of Chateau Krigler 12, a very light floral jus. She also wore it in 1955, the night she picked up the Oscar for The Country Girl. A floral, delicate and regal fragrance that represented her perfectly.
    3. The real finishing touch was posture and discipline. True beauty, he said, comes from “graceful movements, calm voice and proud bearing”. Trained in dance from a young age, she maintained perfect posture throughout her life, an essential part of her charm

La beauty routine of Grace Kelly was the mirror of her style: sober, perfect, timeless. In an age of excess and digital retouching, her example reminds us that true elegance comes from daily care, authenticity and balance. She stated that “the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, but in the light she carries inside”. It requires consistency, care and class.
