Italy celebrates a historic milestone: *Italian Cuisine* was officially included in the UNESCO list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The decision was taken unanimously by the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee, meeting in New Delhi, recognising ours as the *first cuisine in the world to be recognised in its entirety*.
According to UNESCO, Italian cuisine is much more than a collection of recipes: it is a “cultural and social blend of culinary traditions”, a “way of caring for oneself and others, expressing love and rediscovering one's cultural roots”.
*Acli Terra's Satisfaction*
*Acli Terra*, the National Professional Agricultural Association, rejoices at this prestigious recognition, in line with its commitment through the “Crops&Culture” campaign.
*Nicola Tavoletta, National President of Acli Terra*, commented on the news:
“Acli Terra has always supported the idea that Italian cuisine is a cultural heritage. We rejoice at this newly proclaimed recognition in India. Our cuisine is not competitive, but it is a *relationship cooking* and integration, which is not afraid of confrontation but loves the ability to be generative. Moreover, it lives best when the products are Italian, not by exclusion, but by the distinctiveness of our *Wide and abundant biodiversity*”.
Acli Terra recalls that it has already actively promoted Italian cuisine in the world, as demonstrated by the event organised in *Principality of Monaco* in November 2024.
