Ligue 1: Another setback for Monaco, and Adi Hütter loses his temper.

After the ugly European defeat against Brugge, AS Monaco fell again, this time it happened in Lorient (3-1) during the sixth day of Ligue 1. The Monegasques, who appeared tired and without ideas, confirmed their worrying difficulties on the road. After the defeat in Lille in the dying minutes (1-0) and the resounding one in Brugge (4-1), Adi Hütter's team definitely showed its limits away from the Principality.

This Saturday they were defeated by Lorient (3-1), whose last victory was 4-0 last August against a nine-man Rennes.

Given the clear difficulties in midfield, Hütter opted for a three-defender system. In midfield, he relied on Jordan Teze paired with the very young Mamadou Coulibaly. Undoubtedly inexperience also played its part.

If we take a look at the data, the situation looks anything but rosy in the Red and White's house: at half-time the guests had still not taken a single shot on goal.

Both his team's performance and Thilo Kehrer's second yellow card, which he said was unjustified, caused Austrian coach Hütter to become impatient, and he was certainly already feeling the weight of growing discontent.

Both attack and defence struggled: Mika Biereth, who is struggling to be incisive, unlike last season, was replaced at half-time by Balogun, and Vanderson, one of the team's pillars, had to make way for Diatta. Not that this helped change the direction of the match; Monaco suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Mickaël's son Pablo Pagis, who first scored with a cross-shot after a beautiful action with Soumano (76′), and then also gave himself a double with a volley (82′).

The only positive note: the steady growth of Ansu Fati, who scored a goal in the final, his fourth in three games with the ASM jersey, continues. At least that bodes well.
