Music, gastronomy and theatre at the Castle: Dolceacqua reveals its rich programme for August

Dolceacqua is preparing to experience a month of August packed with events dedicated to culture, food and wine, entertainment and the promotion of local traditions.

On 1 August, it will instead be the turn of the traditional Fallow Deer Festival, a gastronomic and dancing evening that celebrates one of the most loved specialities of local cuisine and which attracts numerous participants every year.

Great attention is also paid to quality music with Jazz Valley, scheduled for 7 August in Piazza Mauro. The initiative, dedicated this year to the memory of Renato Gamalero, returns for the second year running, confirming the intention to propose high-level musical events and to expand the cultural offerings of the village.

The success of the now consolidated... is also renewed. Theatre evenings at the Doria Castle, which over the years have attracted an ever-growing audience. The castle’s picturesque setting will host plays, musicals and cabaret shows, offering enchanting evenings in one of Dolceacqua’s most iconic venues.

Entertainment for the whole family is also featured, with “Magic Variety”, a magic and illusion show scheduled for August 2nd, while on August 11th, the comedian will take to the stage Enzo Paci with their show “Paci a Pezzi”, ready to offer an evening of comedy and fun.

The traditional ones will not be missing Gastronomic and dancing evenings organised during the month of August, opportunities for meeting and conviviality that represent a distinctive element of the "dolceacqua" summer and which will feature the young people of the pro-loco I Dusaigoti.

Among the musical events, it is also worth highlighting Dolceacqua Brass Band Concert, scheduled for August 12th, an event that showcases one of the most important and deep-rooted cultural realities of the area.

The summer programme will also be enhanced by astronomical observations at the Doria Castle, cultural shows, concerts, guided tours, markets, the traditional musical firework display, and numerous other initiatives designed to showcase the village's historical, cultural, and landscape heritage.
