Taste of life celebrates Unesco: success in Munich for the Acli event

Italian cuisine, newly proclaimed “Intangible Heritage of Humanity” by Unesco, was the star of a memorable evening in the Principality of Monaco. Last Monday 5 January, the auditorium of the Agora (Maison Diocésaine) hosted the event “Mixing with care, the taste of life”, an initiative signed by the Acli del Principato to honour tricolour gastronomic excellence through storytelling and art.

A journey through sport, cinema and taste

Under the expert guidance of Maurizio Di Maggio, the historic voice of Radio Monte Carlo, and journalist Giulia Frigo, the evening turned into a dynamic talk show where culinary stories were inextricably intertwined with the professional careers of four special guests.

The Rai journalist Marco Fantasia, the famous voice of Italian volleyball, shared anecdotes from his travels around the world following the national teams, while the world of cinema was represented by the couple (in life and art) formed by Karin Proia e Raffaele Buranelli. The two actors, well-known faces from cult series such as Boris and the Marshal Rocca, retraced their careers through the filter of flavours and conviviality. Closing the circle of stories was chef Emanuele Federici, the soul of Rome's La Bocca di Roma restaurant, who brought his technical and passionate testimony as an ambassador of taste.

Dance and tastings: a feast for the senses

The event was not just words. The dance company Emotions, directed by Ginevra De Masi, punctuated the interviews with three unreleased choreographies, giving one last performance in the Principality before leaving for a prestigious television tour in Italy.

Doing the honours was the Honorary President of the Monegasque Acli, Niccolò Caissotti of Chiusano, together with Alessandra Luti (Fashion Wow) and Luciano Garzelli, delegate of the Accademia della Cucina Italiana.

The evening ended in an atmosphere of joyful conviviality with a tasting of territorial excellence: wines from the Trentino and tastings of tradition Ligurian delighted the large audience that came, sealing the patronage of the Italian Embassy and Acli Terra.
