The event
The Mayor Flavio Di Muro and the Councillor for Events and Sport Serena Calcopietro announced with satisfaction the return of the Sports Festival to Ventimiglia, after the great success of last year's edition.
The declarations
“Sport is an extraordinary instrument of cohesion, education and promotion of the territory. We have decided with conviction to renew this initiative precisely to valorise the great work done by our sports associations, which every day involve hundreds of young people,” said the mayor, Mr Flavio Di Muro. “I therefore thank all the associations for their numerous participation in the organisational meeting and for the spirit with which they are collaborating. Ventimiglia increasingly wants to be a city capable of combining sport and tourism, social activities and well-being, and last year's edition was a clear demonstration of this. We had therefore promised ourselves that we would reorganise this event, respecting our mandate programme lines, and so I proudly announce that the date identified for the Sports Festival is 28 September”.
The important presence
Also confirmed is the presence of the’AS Monaco football and the awarding of the “Ventimiglia Sportsman of the Year”.
